PMK demands CBI probe into assault claims

E-Mail this report to a friend

Pattali Makkal Katchi founder-leader Dr S Ramadoss Wednesday demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into the alleged assault on auditor Rajasekharan.

He said there was reason to believe that a false case was being foisted on All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam leader J Jayalalitha to besmirch her reputation. A responsible leader like Jayalalitha, he continued, was being implicated with political motive.

Rajasekharan was making contradictory statements about the alleged assault, Dr Ramadoss said.

Attempts to discredit Jayalalitha by using Rajasekharan would not be successful, he added.
