Sexy Zsa Zsa Gabor, the Hungarian actress who set a record in showbiz by marrying nine -- yes, nine times -- once mused: A girl must marry for love and keep on marrying until she finds it.
Most gals, as well as guys, in Hollywood do just that.
Aren't we starting to hear scores of rumours that one of Hollywood's most romantic couples -- Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie -- are perhaps heading to Splitsville.
And we have just survived the tales of the Spears-Federline battle royale.
Just how long does love last in tinseltown?
Do you know some of Hollywood's most romantic couples? Of men and women who have succeeded in staying together, with or without pre-nups?
An introduction to some of showbiz's golden couples:
Rita Wilson and Tom Hanks
Together: since 1988
Rita Margarita Ibrahimoff and Tom Hanks met on the sets of the television sitcom Bosom Buddies where Tom played the role of Kip, a man in drag. It deepened into a romance when they were thrown together while working on Volunteers in 1985.
Marriage in 1988 was a complicated affair because of differing religious denominations. Rita, whose dad was a Bulgarian Muslim and mom an Albanian Greek, follows the Greek Orthodox faith. Quite like the hero of My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Hanks, who was Roman Catholic, became Greek Orthodox. Incidentally, Rita had a role to play in the success of Greek Wedding when she helped its producer and heroine cut a great movie deal.
Tom and Rita have two boys. Tom has a boy and girl from a previous marriage with Samantha Lewes that ended in divorce in 1987. In interviews to the media Tom has held his happy relationship with Rita responsible for his career successes.
Rita's heritage came in handy when Tom was rehearsing for The Terminal. Tom picked up some Bulgarian lines from her and passed them off as 'Krakozhian'.
