Soha Ali Khan, having overcome our scepticism about her talent with her heartfelt performance in Rang De Basanti, discussed mum and dad, her life and career so far in a freewheeling chat with rediff.com...
I had a normal childhood. I grew up in Delhi, where I did my schooling. My mother was with us as she was doing very few movies then. My dad had retired from cricket, and my brother was there too. I graduated from Oxford and did my post-graduation at the London School of Business.
My first job was with the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation. I worked there during my summer holidays for two weeks. It was a refreshing experience. I then worked with the Ford Foundation, which funds NGOs working with women's empowerment. Next, I worked for 15 months with Citibank as an investment adviser. My heart wasn't in it though. I didn't enjoy it, but did it to gain experience.
