The classy new Hyderabad international airport

The swanky Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad, about 30 km from the heart of Hyderabad, commenced commercial operations on Sunday, with the landing of Lufthansa flight LH 753 from Frankfurt. The 276 passengers and crewmembers onboard the flight were given a grand welcome at the new airport.
United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi inaugurated the airport on March 14.
