The enchanting mists of Munnar
The wonderful mists of Munnar set it apart from other hill towns of the Nilgiris.

Munnar is in a beautiful world of its own.

We drove up from Cochin, after an overnight stay at Fort Cochin.

We were told the distance of 120 km could be covered in about four hours. We scoffed at the idea. It will take us two hours we told our guide.

Airfare for Rs 100 and less!

But as the road wound up the hills, snaking its way through tea estates, we realised we were guilty of overconfidence.

After about two hours we were still winding through the lovely, green, wild hills and dark and deep woods.

I was on top of the world.
