After four days in Christchurch, you come to know that New Zealand is a place for adventure and the thrill seeker. The country has such a vast expanse of land that it has so much to offer by way of adventure.
So after the helicopter ride over the Canterbury Plains to the awe-inspiring backdrop of Mt cook, courtesy Tourism New Zealand, one was invited for quad biking, Bungee jump and a jet boat ride at Hanmer Springs, a place they call the Alpine Pacific Triangle, around 90 minutes from Christchurch.
Quad biking is riding a 250cc Suzuki or Honda bike that has four all-terrain wheels over some of the roughest terrain in the region. For the first-timer it is a dicey challenge. You are taken through terrain one would never want to take this vehicle to for fear of the boulder-laden tracts and getting stuck in the river beds and slushy terrain.
If riding on Mumbai's pot hold ridden roads is tough, consider what could be the plight of the unassuming tourist looking for thrill. If negotiating the incline was tough, the decent was even worse as one had exercise utmost caution to stay in the saddle. But with smart promptings from the instructor and judicial riding you can emerge successful from the challenge.
