Question: Sir, What is your opinion in keeping Sourav Ganguly in the middle order, especially when batsman like Sehwag scores quickly than Ganguly in the first fifteen overs? Not only that, if Ganguly was there in middle order we can score more runs in the slog overs than now. Hope you will give me your opinion.

Answer:
With Sehwag batting well in the opening slot, perhaps Ganguly can be used better in the middle-order. However for your information, produced below is Ganguly's record in ODIs in each batting position. From this stats you will notice that Ganguly has an outstanding record as an opener.

Question: Dear sir, Can you please inform me how many batsmen have batted in all the eleven positions in One-day cricket? Thanks

Answer:
The nearest anyone has done this is Pakistan's Abdur Razzaq, who has this unique distinction of batting at all positions - as an opener to number 11. However it should be noted that Razzaq has never batted at the number one position, although he has opened the Pakistani batting on two occasions.
