When to goThe monsoon season is an exciting time to visit the Jog falls. The waterfalls are wreathed in mist and the area is very green and overgrown. However the falls may be a bit too exuberant and trekking down can be risky. At other times the waterfalls have much less water, as much of the water is held back in the reservoir during drier days. But the winter months, November to February are probably a more convenient and safer time to visit the falls. It would also make more sense to avoid arriving at Jog on weekends or holidays. If you do, you stand a better chance of enjoying the grandeur of the place, at your own leisure. | |
