The Central Bureau of Investigation has announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh for anyone providing information on Zishan Johar and Amjad Ali Rana, the two persons who were killed in an encounter along with Ishrat Jahan in June 2004.
The home ministry has referred to the law ministry the request of CBI seeking files from it related to contradictory affidavits on the antecedents of Ishrat Jahan submitted in Gujarat High Court.
The Central Bureau of Investigation has included the statement of Sheikh's wife Sajida as witness number 42 in its charge sheet wherein she identified the photograph of Rana as her husband Sheikh's friend Bunty who had stayed with them at their house in Mumbai.
