Second seed Sahil Deshmukh crashed out of the boys' under-18 singles in the CCI-ITF junior boys and girls' tennis championship, losing his opening round match to Indian compatriot Vidit Vaghela in straight sets, in Mumbai, on Monday. Deshmukh, ranked 290 in the world among juniors, was no match for Vaghela as he lost 2-6, 5-7 at the Cricket Club of India's courts.
Mumbai Tennis Masters overcame Punjab Marshalls 29-20 in the inconsequential final North Zone round robin match of the Champions Tennis League at the Kalina University Sports Complex on Monday.
