The accident occurred on a turning near the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) camp when the driver lost control of the vehicle, plunging the bus into a 70-metre-deep gorge, Mussoorie police station SHO D S Kohli said.
He said the incident occurred on August 12 at the busstahd and the police were informed about it Saturday evening.
The accident occurred when the bus, on its way to Haldwani town of Uttarakhand from Bulandshahar, collided head-on with the mini-truck, carrying people back from Garhmukteshwar after performing last rites of a deceased at river Ganga, they said.
