In a major administrative reshuffle in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government on Friday transferred as many as 70 Indian Administrative Service officers, including 32 district magistrates and five divisional commissioners.
The IAS officials suspended for their alleged involvement in the 4721-crore-rupee scam are Rakesh Bahadur, Sanjeev Sharan and Ravindra Naik.
The four TRS MPs -- Vinod Kumar, Ravindra Naik and T Madhusudan Reddy -- submitted their resignation to Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee. The TRS chief had announced on Sunday at a rally in New Delhi that MPs of his party will tender their resignation from the Lok Sabha, as the Congress with whom it fought elections on the issue, had ditched it after coming to power.
The TRS is protesting against the government for not implementing the jobs-for-locals Government Order 610 before the deadline of June 30.
