Protestors on Friday pelted stones at the United States consulate in Chennai to protest against a controversial film deemed offensive to Islam, said the police. Nearly 300 protesters belonging to the Tamil Nadu Muslim Munnetra Kazhagam tried to picket the US consulate in Chennai, but were stopped by the police.
