Rupesh Shah became only the fifth Indian cueist to lift the world title twice after he beat Australia's Matthew Bolton 6-2 in the final of the World Billiards in the point frame format in Leeds.
The 34-year-old Gujarat cueist beat countryman Ashok Shandilya by six frames to four in the final.
The Indian cueist was unstoppable in the 150-up format, beating Ireland's Wayne Doyle, England's Aaron Davies, Australia's Grant Meadley and Vietnam's Long Nguyen Thanh to take the top position in Group A.
Pankaj Advani held his nerve to edge past David Causier of England and enter the final of the World Billiards Championship (Time format) by a mere five points, in Leeds, on Wednesday. Eyeing another grand double (points and time format in the same year) after clinching the 150-up short format title last week, the Indian ace led last year's runner-up by a comfortable 400 points at one stage before settling for a 1180-1175 victory.
