Sacked IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi withdrew from the Delhi High Court his plea seeking expeditious hearing before the Ministry of External Affairs against revocation of his passport, saying an order has already been passed by the appellate authority.
"Water has gone above the head. Now we mean business. You (Centre) will arrange everything now," the court said.
The Delhi high court on Wednesday said it appeared that the Centre wanted people to die as according to the new protocol on use of Remdesivir for Covid-19 treatment, the drug was to be given only to those on oxygen support.
The Delhi government had earlier threatened to impose the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) to ensure smooth functioning of the Metro and appealed to the employees not to resort to strike.
