A chopper ferrying Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda from New Delhi to Punjab was forced to make an unscheduled landing in Hisar on Wednesday due to inclement weather.
A day after Power Minister Ajay Singh Yadav's resignation, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Wednesday hit out at his detractors, claiming their actions were guided by "vested interests".
Haryana Governor Jaganath Pahadia has directed Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who was sworn in as the state Chief Minister for his second successive term, to prove his majority on the floor of the state assembly within a week.
With his party set to return to power for the second consecutive term, creating a record of sorts in the state, Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday said that the Congress high command will take a final decision on the final candidate for the coveted post. "I am a disciplined soldier of the party. The high command will decide on the name of candidate for the chief minister's post," an elated Hooda said.
As per the latest trends, the BJP and Congress is neck-and-neck with 35 seats. The fledgling JJP, which fought its maiden assembly polls, is also ahead in 10 seats.
