Political pundits and pre-poll surveys may have predicted a straight victory for the Congress in the forthcoming Karnataka election, but an expert of a different kind holds out a glimmer of hope for the beleaguered Bharatiya Janata Party.
Joining issue with senior party leader Rajnath Singh over his "no vacancy" comment, beleaguered Bharatiya Janata Party Karnataka strongman B S Yeddyurappa on Monday said his comments were "unwarranted" and maintained that he had never clamoured for any party position. "I have never clamoured for any party position or the chief minister's post. The comments are unwarranted," Yeddyurappa told reporters.
Beleaguered Bharatiya Janata Party president Nitin Gadkari on Thursday met party senior party leader L K Advani, who is apparently unhappy over the party chief's continuance in his post, to wish him on his birthday.
