After being asked to bat first, openers Mithali (49*) and Smriti Mandhana (41) not only provided India with a solid start by sharing a crucial 70-run partnership, but also helped the team post a target of 119 runs in their stipulated 20 overs.

After being asked to bat first, Indian women posted a reasonable total of 120 runs in their stipulated 20 overs, with Shikha Pandey and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur remaining unbeaten at 39 and 14 respectively. Opener Vellaswamy Vanitha contributed 14-ball 21 runs in her side's innings.
