Senior Police Inspector Arun Borude, who has been accused of raping a 15-year-old girl in suburban Powai in Mumbai, has been dismissed from service, the police said on Wednesday. Borude has been absconding since the case was registered last week. "The state director general of police ordered Borude's dismissal under Article 311 of the Constitution on grounds of immoral conduct," City Police Commissioner Sanjeev Dayal told reporters.
The decision on anticipatory bail plea of a police inspector accused of raping a minor was put off till Wednesday with a judge transferring the case to another court without assigning any reason.
Apparently as a fall out of the Bombay high court's directive to transfer the police officers related to Khwaja Yunus' alleged custodial death, two police officers related to the case have been transferred out of Mumbai, along with 8 policemen
