Jammu and Kashmir police on Monday promoted and rewarded a constable who on Sunday had killed a militant during an attack on the house of a senior Congress leader in the Rohama village of south Kashmir's Pulwama district.
Abdul Gani Dar was shot at three times from a close range with an AK assault rifle, he said, adding two bullets hit him in the chest and one in the shoulder.
