The court made it clear that it has not accepted the report and sought the opinion of the counsel for both Zahira and Setalavad in regard to 'acceptability' of the report.
Justices S Rajendra Babu and G P Mathur heard the petition, filed by senior advocate Indira Jaising, asking the Supreme Court Registrar General to make the report public, as there was national concern for judicial accountability.
Asserting he will abide by rules, the speaker said he will take a "just decision which may be of convenience to some and inconvenience to some."
