Paulo Roberto Falcao's appeal is the latest in a series of efforts by leading current and former Brazilian footballers to help the South American nation cope with the effects of COVID-19.
The Brazilian football federation, (CBF) along with the country's footballers have raised $463,787 and the money will go to three organisations working in Brazil's densely-populated favelas.
