A day after Himachal Pradesh government took over possession of the land given to Ramdev's trust after cancelling its lease, BJP today said it will support any agitation by the Yoga teacher against the move.
The government has slapped a notice of Rs 5 crore demand on trusts run by Ramdev in connection with alleged service tax evasion while organising their yoga camps.
The Himachal high court on Wednesday directed the government to maintain status quo in respect of the land leased to Patanjali Yoga Peeth of Baba Ramdev which was taken over by the government on February 22.

After yoga guru Baba Ramdev was banned from conducting programmes in Himachal on Monday and booked in Maharashtra and Rajasthan under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Atrocities Act for his honeymoon remarks targeting targeting Rahul Gandhi, the yoga guru said he would move the courts against the curbs.
