Sri Lankan fast bowler Shaminda Eranga has been suspended for bowling in international cricket with immediate effect by the International Cricket Council ( ICC) after an independent assessment found his bowling action to be 'illegal'. Eranga underwent assessment at the National Cricket Performance Centre in Loughborough, where all his deliveries exceeded the 15 degrees level of tolerance permitted under the regulations.
Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez is all set to undergo a reassessment test on his bowling action on April 9 in Chennai to revive his international career.
James Anderson will join England's Test squad in India next week, and is increasingly hopeful of playing a significant part in the five-match series after making encouraging progress in his recovery from a shoulder injury.
