The body of a four-year-old boy was discovered in a garbage bin inside a train toilet at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus in Mumbai. An investigation is underway.
A man has been arrested in Mumbai for allegedly murdering his maternal aunt's three-year-old son in Surat and dumping the body in the toilet of an express train.
The incident took place on January 13 on Kushinagar Express on its way to Gorakhpur. The trouble began after an unclaimed bag was recovered from the general compartment of Kushinagar Express which contained meat.
The duo has been identified as Mushiruddin Salauddin Siddiqui (27), a native of Kanpur, but residing in Virar town of neighbouring Thane district, and Manzoor Mahmood Ansari (37), a resident of Birganj town of Nepal.
Over 250 passengers have been rescued, a railway official said.
