The alleged incident took place on December 29, but the victim, a 28-year-old married woman, lodged the complaint on January 1 as the accused Dipak Bamane had warned her not to disclose the incident to anyone, inspector Suryakant Awasthi of Koh-e-Fiza police station said.
The first three killings came in a space of 72 hours earlier in the week, while the fourth victim, from Bhopal, fell prey a few hours before Dhurve was arrested.
