A mysterious noise, like that of an explosion, rattled southern parts of the Bengaluru urban district, parts of Ramanagara district and Hosur in neighbouring Tamil Nadu on Friday, sending people into a tizzy.
According to the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre, there would be heavy rain for the next 24 hours in coastal areas, in the northern and in the interior parts of the south.
Isolated heavy rainfall is also very likely over north Konkan region during the same period, it said.
