Veteran actor Tabassum, known for her work as a child artiste in several Hindi classics and also as host of popular Doordarshan talk show Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan, has died after suffering a cardiac arrest, her son Hoshang Govil said on Saturday. She was 78.
Ameen Sayani made a rare appearance as did Pyarelal.
At a prayer meet on Monday, film folk paid homage to the lady who personified effervescence in every episode of her long running Doordarshan talk show, Phool Khile Hain Gulshan Gulshan, which ran from 1972 to 1993.
Veteran music composer Khayyam passed into the ages on August 19, and several film personalities visited his home in Juhu, a north west suburb of Mumbai, to pay their last respects.
