A BJP leader in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, died after three unidentified men allegedly injected him with a poisonous substance. The incident took place on Monday evening when the leader, Gulfam Singh Yadav, was sitting at his farm. He was being taken to Aligarh for treatment but died on the way. Police are investigating the case.

Seven people have died after allegedly being treated by a fake cardiologist at a missionary hospital in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, India, prompting the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) to launch a probe. The alleged fake doctor, identified as Narendra Vikramaditya Yadav, is accused of misrepresenting himself as "Dr. N John Camm", a renowned cardiologist from the United Kingdom.
