Seventeen pilgrims were killed and 28 others injured when a bus carrying them fell off a bridge in Buldhana district of Maharashtra on Thursday. The mishap took place in the wee hours on the Nanganga bridge near Tandulwadi village in Malkapur town of the district, when the bus was on its way back from Shirdi and Shanishignapur, a police official said.

A single judge bench of Justice Arun Choudhary, while allowing application of Devisingh Shekhawat and three others under section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code has quashed the judgment passed by Additional Sessions Judge, Khamgaon in Buldana district on February 7, 2007.
A school teacher had allegedly committed suicide in November 1998. Patil's husband was blamed.
About 42 farmers have committed suicide this month and the total number of suicides is now 975.
