The mayor of Chittoor was on Tuesday stabbed to death and her husband seriously injured by unidentified assailants, in an attack suspected to be a fallout of a family dispute, the police said.
Two persons were killed on Wednesday in Kishanbagh area of Old City after communal clashes broke out over alleged burning of a religious flag leading police to open fire to quell the mob.
