The World No. 1 breezed past his German opponent with a 6-3, 7-6 (4), 6-3 victory, delivering a dominant performance across all three sets.
At 23, the Italian is the youngest player to win back-to-back titles at Melbourne Park since Jim Courier in 1992-93.
