Sudarshan Pattnaik celebrated Mirabai Chanu's Oympic silver medal with sand art on Puri beach.

Mirabai opened India's medals tally on Saturday, bagging a silver in the women's 49kg weightlifting category at the Tokyo Games.

She became only the second Indian weightlifter to win an Olympic medal after Karnam Malleswari bagged bronze in the 69kg category at the 2000 Sydney Games.

'Heartiest congratulations to @mirabai_chanu for winning #Silver in 49kg #Weightlifting #Tokyo2020. My SandArt at Puri beach in Odisha,' Pattnaik tweeted.

'Proud Moment for All Of Us.#MirabaiChanu. #Cheer4India'.
