Table toppers Brighton & Hove Albion beat Manchester United 2-1 on Saturday to stay perfect in the Premier League after Joao Pedro scored a late winner in the fifth minute of added time to give new manager Fabian Huerzeler a victory on his home debut.
Brighton striker Danny Welbeck scored the opener against his former club before Amad Diallo drew United level in the second half and the game looked destined for a draw until the dying minutes.
But Brighton's pressure paid off when Simon Adingra found space in the box and chipped the ball over United's defenders to an unmarked Pedro who headed home to give them their second win of the season.
"First I'm very happy for the win. I think this goal at the end shows how much we wanted to win the game, first game at home against a big team," Pedro said.
"I cannot feel better than today. I think the team did well."
Huerzeler, 31, has overseen two victories to keep Brighton provisionally top of the standings after two games.
United had the first opportunity to take the lead 10 minutes into the game when Diogo Dalot crossed the ball to the far post where Diallo failed to convert with a volley.
Brighton took the lead when Kaoru Mitoma received the ball on the left flank before his cross went through United's defence and into the six-yard box where Welbeck stuck out a leg to score his second goal of the season.
It was Welbeck's 100th career goal in club football and his sixth against United, the club he spent his formative years at and even won the Premier League title with in 2012-13.
Marcus Rashford responded instantly at the other end when he put the ball in the back of the net following a fine save from keeper Jason Steele, but his celebrations were short-lived when the linesman's flag went up for offside.
Brighton nearly doubled their lead early in the second half when James Milner was played in by Pedro but his shot was cleared off the line by Dalot.
Diallo then drew United level at the hour mark when he was put through on goal and the 22-year-old cut inside his marker before shooting, with the ball being deflected past keeper Jason Steele and into the net.
United could have completed the comeback in the 69th minute when a sweeping move allowed them to carve Brighton apart and Alejandro Garnacho took a shot destined for the net.
But Joshua Zirkzee was sliding in for a cross that never came and he deflected the ball in on the goal line from an offside position, with VAR chalking off the goal.
Haaland hat-trick as City roar back to crush Ipswich
Manchester City scored three goals in less than four minutes after conceding a shock early goal to crush promoted Ipswich Town 4-1 in the Premier League.
Erling Haaland netted a hat-trick and Kevin De Bruyne also scored as City stayed perfect in their quest for a fifth consecutive league title and Ipswich remained without a point.
Sammie Szmodics fired Ipswich into a surprise lead in the seventh minute when Ben Johnson sent him in behind City's defence and Ederson mishandled his shot which rolled into the net.
The visitors' goal fired up City who netted three times in 191 seconds, sparked by Haaland's penalty in the 12th minute.
De Bruyne capitalised on an error by keeper Arijanet Muric to put City ahead and Haaland grabbed his second when De Bruyne chipped a ball over the top and the big Norwegian beat Muric to it.
The crossbar spared Ipswich more first-half blushes as Rico Lewis and De Bruyne smashed shots off the woodwork in quick succession.
Haaland completed his hat trick with a rocket from just outside the 18-yard box in the 88th minute, the goal-scoring machine's fourth of the young season.
City, who had 76% possession, squandered numerous chances with 13 shots to just one for Ipswich, and had the league newcomers penned in their own end for much of the afternoon.
City fans welcomed second-half substitution Ilkay Gundogan back to Etihad with a loud ovation, his first game for Guardiola's team since 2023.

West Ham punish Palace with 2-0 Premier League win
A pair of second-half goals from Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen gave West Ham United their first Premier League win of the season as they cruised to a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
Both sides had early chances, with Mohammed Kudus flashing a shot wide for the Hammers in the 11th minute and Palace striker Eberechi Eze denied by keeper Alphonse Areola five minutes later.
The best chance of a nervy first half fell to the home side as they pulled off a well-worked short corner just before the break that resulted in Eze firing a curling, dipping shot that smacked off the crossbar and bounced away to safety.
With the two sides cancelling each other out for most of the game, West Ham finally broke the deadlock when Aaron Wan-Bissaka, a recent arrival from Manchester United, came off the bench and launched a counter-attack up the right wing.
Wan-Bissaka found Bowen further forward, and his subsequent pass into the middle caused chaos in the Palace defence, and their inability to clear the ball was punished when Soucek made a trademark late run into the box to steer the ball home.
Hammers captain Bowen added the second goal five minutes later, latching on to a brilliant cross-field pass by Max Kilman before cutting on to his favoured left foot and lashing his shot into the net.

Smith Rowe, Iwobi on target as Fulham beat Leicester 2-1
Goals by Emile Smith Rowe and Alex Iwobi gave Fulham a 2-1 home victory over promoted Leicester City in the Premier League on Saturday.
Fulham deservedly took the lead in the 18th minute when Adama Traore played a superb through ball to midfielder Smith Rowe, who marked his Craven Cottage debut with a clinical left-footed shot.
Fulham's lead lasted only 20 minutes before centre back Wout Faes headed home from a Facundo Buonanotte corner to level it up for Leicester. Faes' goal was initially disallowed for offside but was awarded following a VAR review.
Iwobi restored Fulham's advantage in the 70th minute, however, as he beautifully controlled a long ball from left back Antonee Robinson before finishing with a left-foot shot to secure all three points for the hosts.
Fulham manager Marco Silva had named an unchanged side after their 1-0 loss at Manchester United last week, and they largely dominated against Steve Cooper's side.
Fulham could have been ahead much earlier after Faes' defensive error handed the ball to Traore, who moved it for Rodrigo Muniz, only for the Brazilian forward to send his shot over the bar.
Leicester rarely threatened Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno as they continue to search for their first win of the Premier League season, having drawn 1-1 at home to Tottenham Hotspur on Monday.
