Part of the ceiling of the weightlifting venue for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in New Delhi collapsed on Wednesday.
The false ceiling at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium collapsed in what was another embarassment for the organisers.
There were no injuries reported.
The incident comes in the wake of the collapse of a footover bridge which injured 23 a day earlier.
There have also been displeasure voiced in various quarters regarding the facilities in the Games' village.
The CWG has long been mired in controversy and many top athletes have already pulled out.
Meanwhile, CPWD Director General B K Chug said an enquiry has been ordered but maintained that there was no collapse.
"There is no collapse. Some tiles got displaced when a person, who might be a security personnel, walked over an aluminium roof," Chug said.
Describing it as a minor incident, he said they were in the process of replacing the tiles.
"The tiles were just kept there. The personnel tried to catch hold of the tiles when they fell," he said, adding no work was being carried out at the stadium.
However, a senior CPWD official said maintenance work was being carried out and two tiles fell from the false ceiling.
"We have to take the scaffold to a certain height and tighten it. Nobody was injured in the incident," he added.
