He made his debut for Man U at 17 and went on to form a scintillating partnership with the awesome George Best. As a midfielder, he shone with his scorching runs and booming shots.

He was the toast of all in England during the 1966 season and was adjudged "European Footballer of the Year" after turning in a spectacular performance with Manchester United, for whom he served loyally right through his playing career.
