At a time when everyone had given up all hopes on the New Delhi Commonwealth Games, the grand opening ceremony shut up its critics.

The man responsible for putting the grand show together was filmmaker Bharat Bala, creative director of the Games Ceremonies.

Bala is also known for his chic ad campaigns like Incredible India, School Chale Hum and Vande Mataram that have made patriotism look cool.
