Boland, who has trained Somdev since he joined the university, is confident that his ward will do well after leaving the confines of college tennis.

Somdev -- who gives the maximum credit for his success to Boland as well as to his trainers and all those who put in a lot of work to help him succeed -- does not seem to have decided on his career as yet.
"I am really going to take off for the next week-and-a-half at least and then I am going to take it from there," he said. "I think I am going to play some tournaments, but as of now I have not made any decision. I think I can give you a better answer later."
