World number six Andy Roddick [Images] has pulled out of next week's French Open due to a problem with his back, his brother John Roddick said on Monday at the World Team Cup in Duesseldorf.
Roddick sustained the injury in his semi-final match against Stanislas Wawrinka at the Rome Masters earlier this month and needs to rest for 10-12 days, his brother said in a statement released by Duesseldorf organisers.
Roddick has had a decent year so far with title sin San Jose and Dubai and a 24-5 match record.
