The Great Khali in Mumbai

Urging the kids to "study hard", Khali said he is happy that people in India watch WWE matches despite cricket's popularity.

He evaded a reply when asked whether Sachin Tendulkar had invited him to an IPL match and Shahrukh Khan to a lunch.

"Sachin is a great human being," was all he said.

The 7.3 feet tall Khali, currently on a break after a three-year stint in the WWE, hails from a poor family of Dhirana village in Himachal Pradesh.

The third of seven siblings, he worked with the Punjab Police during which time he won the Mr India title in 1997 and 98. He decided to go to the US in 1999 and join the Pro Wrestling School before graduating to take on the n the likes of Undertaker, Kane and John Cena.
