Liverpool striker Fernando Torres scored a late goal to help Liverpool beat Sunderland 1-0 at the Stadium of Light.

The Spanish striker took his chance superbly by scoring with a low shot from 20 metres in the 83rd minute.

"We were on top in the second half and controlled the game. We had chances and Torres took his. He's a key player who can change games," Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez said.
