'Indo-Pak Express' Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-ul Haq Qureshi stormed into the doubles semi-finals of the ONGC [Get Quote] ATP Challenger after a straight sets win over Adrian Cruciat of Romania and Adrian Menendez of Spain.
Second seeded Bopanna and Qureshi won 6-3, 7-6 (6) to set-up a clash with Benjamin Balleret of Mongolia and Sebastian De Chaunac of France [Images] on Thursday.
At the receiving end of Balleret and Sebastian were India's Mustafa Ghouse and Patrick Briaud of the United States, who went down 6-3, 7-5.
Bopanna and Qureshi eased through the first set but encountered stiff resistance in the second which went to the tie-breaker.
The India-Pak duo has forged a good combination this season and notched up a number of doubles title which saw their doubles ranking soar.
Top seed Wesley Moodie and Rik De Voest of South Africa also booked a semi-final berth after a comfortable 6-2, 6-1 win over Tomas Clark and Ivo Minar of Czech Republic.
Moodie and De Voest will meet Pavel Chekhov and Elgin Michail of Russia [Images], who went past the Chinese duo of Xin-Yuan Yu and Shao Xuan Zeng 6-2, 6-3.
For Aisam, the victory in the doubles' second round came after he reached the quarter-finals in the morning, beating Eligin Michail 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.
Bopanna had already exited from the singles draw after losing his first round match on Tuesday.
