After conceding the first leg, Pakistani players retaliated by getting the better of Indian pair of Ashutosh Singh and Vivek Shokeen in the doubles match and take 1-0 lead in the second leg of the tennis series in Islamabad on Thursday.

The Pakistani duo of Aisam-ul-Haq-Qureshi and Aqeel Khan defeated the Indian pair 7-5, 7-6 in the clay court match.

As players were exhausted after playing the doubles, the Pakistan Tennis Federation rescheduled the matches and now both the singles will be played on Friday.

Indian duo have a tough task ahead as they have to win both the matches to claim the series.

It would be interesting to see if coach and non-playing captain Akhtar Ali would field Sunil Kumar Sipaeya, who is yet to play a match in the series.

The first leg in Lahore [Images], which India clinched 2-1, was played on grass courts.
