Hopes of an Indian title remained unfulfilled as Vijay Kannan and Ashutosh Singh bit the dust in the doubles final of the ITF Satellite men's tennis second leg in New Delhi on Friday.

Kannan and Singh went down to top seeds Murad Inoyatov of Uzbekistan and Alexey Kedriouk of Kazakhstan 6-4, 6-2 in the summit clash at the DLTA Complex.

The home pair had to be content with 206.25-USD combined purse and 10 circuit points each while the winners walked away with a prize money of 393.75-USD and 15 points each.

In the singles, Manuel Jorquera of Italy [Images] booked his final berth with a 6-2 6-1 win over Hyung-Kwon Kim of Korea.

The eighth seed will try to stop Austrian Herberth Wiltschnig from claiming his second successive title.

The second seed entered the final after a 6-2, 6-4 victory over another Italian, Federico Torresi.
