England [Images] captain David Beckham [Images] incurred a suspension for picking up a booking in Real Madrid's [Images] 0-0 home draw with Atletico Madrid on Saturday.

Beckham received a yellow card for a late challenge on Atletico midfielder Gonzalo Colsa in the 61st minute of the Primera Liga clash.

It meant he completed a cycle of five bookings and will miss Real's last match of the season at Real Zaragoza.

That could free Beckham for England's two-match tour of the U.S. but Real coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo said: "I'm going to have to talk to Beckham next week because the season has not ended yet and then we will decide whether or not to release him (for the tour)."

England's opening tour match is against the U.S. in Chicago on May 28.

Beckham sparked controversy earlier this season when he deliberately got booked in a World Cup qualifier against Wales so that he could serve a suspension while he was injured.

His Real Madrid team mate Michael Owen [Images] cannot join up with the England squad until their second match against Colombia in New Jersey on May 31.

Beckham said on Saturday: "I didn't get booked deliberately. I would never do that. It would never have been a yellow card in England.

"As far as I am concerned I will be spending the week with the team (Real Madrid). I wanted to play in the Zaragoza game."
