Lance Armstrong: Fallen Icon?

Armstrong's friendship with Dr Michele Ferrari is another issue.

A number of riders have accused the Italian doctor of prescribing EPO to them. Armstrong, however, maintains it is a personal relationship, and one that has no bearing on his professional life in any way.

Incidentally, no urine samples from 1999 remain untested. Which means there is simply no way of contradicting the laboratory's findings. This then explains Armstrong's comment on his site: 'I have no way to defend myself…The witch hunt continues and the article is nothing short of tabloid journalism.'
