Ashley Harkleroad lost to Spain's Magui Serna 3-6, 6-1, 6-2 in the third round match.
"This Roland-Garros has been a really good experience for me. I didn't play my best today. My body was a little tired, but she played well and I can only take positive experiences from it," said Harkleroad, who had upset ninth seed Daniela Hantuchova in the second round.
