Ruud Van Nistelrooy was the toast of the English season. He scored his 25th Premiership goal in the last game against Everton to win the 'Golden Boot'.

"I think Ruud van Nistelrooy's form has without question been the deciding factor. I knew he was going to become a great player. But I didn't know quite how good he was going to become, I must say that, because he has surprised me almost every week," Ferguson said of the Dutch striker.
