Wimbledon 2003 - Day 1

No. 5 seed American Andy Roddick was installed as favourite to win the Wimbledon men's singles title by British bookmakers William Hill after Hewitt's defeat.

Roddick cruised into the second round beating Italian Davide Sanguinetti 6-2, 6-3, 6-3 in just 90 minutes.
