Die-hard Dhanraj

In fact, Dhanraj has kept hockey alive in the land of the legendary Dhyan Chand. He has been the guiding light to many a youngster. Even at 34, he can still hold his own against the young Turks, players almost 15 years his junior, in the Indian team. He creates, inspires, defends and scores like very few in world hockey.

The coming Olympics in Athens is sure to be his swan song. He has set his sights on winning the gold, something India haven't achieved at the quadrennial event since 1980. Can he realise his dream?

In a country where cricket is a religion, Dhanraj offers hockey a chance for salvation.
